BIÂN co-founder and acclaimed restaurateur Kevin Boehm, leads the F&B program at the restaurant at BIÂN. It was designed with intention, is ambitious in its sourcing, and contains broad offerings for all three meal periods. Our on-site Chef Ryan Maher, has curated a menu based on healthy food that is still craveable. The menu’s mission statement: “Creating the best tasting food, that still aligns with member’s health initiatives.”

DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE
A seasoned and respected talent in the industry, Tim brings a passion for creating dining experiences that leave his guests feeling inspired and totally satiated. His hospitality expertise will be a key driver in elevating the pioneering spirit of the culinary program, and whole club culture, at BIÀN.
He has 15+ years developing concepts and managing various food and beverage operations for Chicago’s James Beard Award winning BOKA Restaurant Group, and fast growing Phoenix based In Good Spirits Hospitality. This track record enables Tim to put customers first while managing teams and programs that boost productivity, morale, and his colleagues continued professional development.
Outside of his work, you can find Tim on the golf course enjoying a round with close friends or studying the vastly changing restaurant scene around the city.
RYAN MAHER
EXECUTIVE CHEF
Ryan Maher began baking with his Mother at 5 years old. That early passion for cooking led him to Culinary School at Kendall College and a job at the Peninsula Hotel. In 2014 he met his mentor Chef Lee Wolen of James Beard Award Winning Boka Restaurant Group which began a journey with him at the Michelin starred Lobby at the Peninsula, Michelin starred Boka, and Somerset.
In 2020 Ryan accepted the position of Executive Chef at BIÂN, a job that utilizes all of Ryan’s special skills sets: flexibility of cuisine, managing a team, and curating a menu that is symmetrical to the restaurant’s ethos.
Ryan lives in Berwyn with his wife Jocelyn. When he is not in the kitchen, he can be found fly fishing or playing with his dogs, Peaches and Mabel.
